Edward Cruz was a four-year member of the NCE men’s soccer team
Cruz, as a sophomore, was one of the top scorers on the 1960 NAIA National Championship team
In 1960, Cruz helped the team to a 12-0-1 record, winning its first 12 games before being deadlocked through four overtime periods in the National Championship game
As a junior, Cruz helped the Highlanders to victory in the first nine games of the season before losing the 1961 NAIA National Championship game, 3-2
