Yogi Berra Stadium

New Jersey Institute of Technology and Montclair State University have partnered on a transformative $5.3 million renovation of Yogi Berra Stadium, creating a premier home for both institutions’ NCAA baseball programs beginning with the 2024 season.

The comprehensive upgrades will modernize the stadium and elevate the student-athlete and fan experience through a series of state-of-the-art enhancements. Improvements include the installation of a new artificial turf playing surface, upgraded dugouts, replacement of the outfield wall, construction of a new storage building, and the addition of new bullpens and batting cages.

The project also features enhancements to the VIP and press box areas, along with renovations to both teams’ locker rooms. Future phases may include additional interior renovations to support expanded locker room facilities.

Originally built in 1998, Yogi Berra Stadium serves as the home of the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center and the Montclair State baseball program. The stadium features seating for 3,100 spectators, with additional lawn seating capacity for up to 4,000 guests. From 1998 through 2022, the venue also served as the home field for the New Jersey Jackals.

These enhancements position the facility as a premier regional destination capable of hosting conference championships, NCAA tournaments, and other high-profile events. Designed as a year-round venue, the renovated stadium will serve student-athletes, the campus communities, and the broader region for years to come.
