Professor Paul Hausser was inducted into the NJIT Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions as a teacher, coach and administrator from 1953 to 1990
As Chairman of the Physical Education Department, he was responsible for expanding the program from two courses to 45 course offerings
In addition to his role in academia, Hausser also served as the coach of the fencing and baseball programs
A legendary fencing coach, Hausser compiled a 185-125 record in 32 years
Many of his fencers captured individual championships, regional and national recognition
Hausser also served for 14 seasons as baseball coach, compiling a 30-78 record
