NEWARK, NJ - Grant Billmeier has added a fourth member to his 2024 recruiting class as New Jersey native Malachi Arrington has officially signed with the NJIT men's basketball program.

Arrington hails from Somerville, NJ, and played high school basketball in Essex County at Montclair Immaculate.
"We are excited to add Malachi and his family to NJIT and the Highlander family," explained Billmeier who is entering his second season lead the Highlanders. "Malachi is a hard-working, athletic, and mobile forward with enourmus upside. He has been taught the game at a high level from his high school coach Jimmy Salmon and his staff.
Arrington helped lead Montclair Immaculate to the Non-Public B State Championship game in 2023-24.
"We are thrilled to have another great local player stay home and play in his home state," added Billmeier. Our fans will love watching Malachi play and enjoy getting to know him off the court, as well."
