NEWARK, NJ - NJIT men's basketball Head Coach
Grant Billmeier has announced the signing of Ari Fulton, the second member of the program's 2024 recruiting class.
Fulton hails from Fayetteville, NC, where he played at Westover High School for Head Coach George Stackhouse.
"I'm very excited to welcome Ari to our program this summer," explained Billmeier, who is entering his second season. "He has a very high motor and is a relentless competitor."
This past winter, the 6'7, 200-pound Fulton helped lead Westover to a 29-2 record. His squad won the All American Athletic Conference Championship and advanced to the North Carolina 3A State Final Four.
Fulton averaged a double-double as a senior, scoring 19.1 ppg and grabbing 10.9 rpg. He was named Player of the Year in the All-American Athletic Conference, First Team All-District and was selected for the North Carolina/South Carolina All-Star Game
"Ari has unlimited potential and I know our fans will love watching him play in a Highlander uniform next season," concluded Billmeier.
Fulton joins Walt Andrews in Billmeier's 2024 recruiting class. Andrews signed with the Highlanders in November.
