2025-26 NABC Academic Awards | 2025-26 NABC Honors Court

​KANSAS CITY, MO – The NJIT men's basketball team has been named as a recipient of the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award while Melvyn Ebonkoli and Cameron Piggee were selected to the NABC Honors Court.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

A graduate student from Trappes, France, Ebonkoli appeared in 21 games, starting 18 and averaged 7.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and led the team in blocks with 1.0 in 26.2 minutes per game. The 6'8 center scored a career-high 20 points on a perfect 10-for-10 shooting from the field in win over UMass Lowell and recorded 16 points and eight rebounds in his Highlander debut in a win at Binghamton.

A junior from North Brunswick, New Jersey, Piggee appeared in 18 games and averaged 1.8 points, 0.3 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 5.5 minutes per game. The 6'1 guard scored a season-high eight points in a win against SUNY Canton.
