NEWARK, NJ - NJIT men's basketball Head Coach
Grant Billmeier announced the third member of his 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday, officially welcoming Stefan Jimenez-Vojnic to the Highlanders.
Jimenez-Vojnic is a native of Toronto who played his final season of high school basketball at the Academy of Central Florida in Orlando.
"We are thrilled to welcome Stef to the Highlander family," announced Billmeier, who is entering his second season leading the Highlanders. "He brings a skillset that is rare for a player of his size at such a young age."
The 6'11, 230-pound Jimenez-Vojnic averaged 13.4 ppg and 7.3 rpg as a postgraduate under Head Coach Chris Chaney last season.
Jimenez-Vojnic has also competed for his home country of Canada on the international stage, as he helped lead the Canadian U-16 National Team to a Bronze Medal at the FIBA Americas in 2021.
"Stef plays with a relentless motor every time he steps on to the court," added Billmeier. "I know he'll be a fan favorite."
Jimenez-Vojnic joins
Walt Andrews and
Ari Fulton as the first three members of Billmeier's 2024 recruiting class.
