NEWARK, NJ -- Three Highlanders received conference honors highlighted by
David Bolden being named America East Rookie of the Year.
Sebastian Robinson and
Ari Fulton were named to the All-America East Second Team as well.
Bolden was named the America East Rookie of the Year. The freshman guard from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was named conference Rookie of the Week a league-high tying four times. Bolden in his first collegiate season led the America East with 1.9 steals per game and ranked 13
th in the league overall averaging 11.9 points per game. He is the second Highlander in the last three years to be named Rookie of the Year with the last being
Tariq Francis in 2024. Bolden also earned All-Rookie Team honors. On the season, Bolden averaged 11.9 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game and 1.9 steals per game.
Robinson was named to the All-America East Second Team. The junior guard from Montclair, New Jersey finished 6th in the conference with 14.4 points per game and was named Player of the Week once during the regular season. On the year, Robinson averaged 14.4 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game and scored in double-digits in 14 straight games to end the season. Robinson also recorded seven conference games with 20+ points.
Fulton was named to the All-America East Second Team. The sophomore guard from Fayetteville, North Carolina was named Player of the Week twice during the regular season and averaged 11.3 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. Fulton also recorded six double-doubles on the season.
For the first time since joining the America East, NJIT will host a conference quarter-final game on Saturday, the 7
th at 4:00 p.m. as the No. 3 seed Highlanders will host No. 6 seed Maine.
