NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT women's basketball team will look to make it three in a row on Wednesday when the Highlanders visit UMass Lowell in an America East Conference women's basketball contest.

Tip-off is slated for 7pm inside Costello Athletic Center on the campus of UMass Lowell and for those not able to attend the game can watch televised on ESPN3 with in-game statistics available on GoRiverHawks.com.

UMass Lowell leads the series, 4-1. The Riverhawks have won the last four matches with NJIT's lone win on March 4, 204, an 87-75 victory.
12 Wins for the Highlanders
NJIT recorded its 12th win of the season and it was a big one as the Highlanders recorded the second-highest win total since moving to Division I (2006-07) with a 69-52 win at Hartford on February 12.
The 16 wins in 2012-13 is the highest wins total in the Division I era (began 2006-07).

The seven road wins this season is a new NJIT Division I mark.

The Highlanders, winners of two consecutive games, improved to 12-11 on the season and 7-5 in the league. The seven wins in America East play is a program-best since joining the league in June 2020.

The NJIT women's basketball team recorded its 12th win of the season in a 69-52 win at Hartford behind four double-figure scorers paced by Lyzi Litwinko's team-best 16 points Saturday afternoon in America East Conference women's basketball action at Chase Family Arena.
The 12 wins for NJIT this season is the second highest win total since moving to Division I in the 2006-07 and the seven road wins is a new NJIT Division I mark.

Litwinko, who shared game-high honors with Hartford's Carmen Villalobos, nearly missed notching a double-double with 16 points and game-best nine rebounds. Forward Kimi Evans added 13 points while Ellyn Stoll chipped in 11 points and Kiana Brereton chipped in 10 points off the bench in 15 points. Brereton finished 5-for-7 with four rebounds while Stoll went 4-for-8 from the field.
As a team, the Highlanders shot 45.8% from the field and 68.8 % from the free throw line, coming for 24 points off of Hartford's 17 turnovers in addition to 20 bench points in the win.
Next Up
NJIT will play its next two games at home inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center, first welcoming Maine on February 19 at 2pm on the Highlanders annual Play4Kay game.
In the first meeting of the season, NJIT defeated Maine in overtime, 67-69.
