Men's Swimming and Diving Falls To Binghamton In America East Action

VESTAL, N.Y. --- In its first-ever America East meet, the NJIT men's swimming and diving team suffered a 196-103 road defeat against the Binghamton Bearcats Sunday evening at the Patricia Saunders Aquatic Center.

TOP PERFORMANCES
NJIT was paced by freshman Ian Horstkamp-Vinekar, who accounted for four of the Highlanders' five victories (three individual and one relay). Horstkamp-Vinekar took first place in the 200 Fly (1:52.68), 200 Back (1:54.66) and 100 Fly (51.81) while swimming the first leg of the 400 Medley Relay (3:30.46) alongside Nicholas Lyons, Mattheau Bonner and Joshua Franco.

Franco was responsible for NJIT's other race win (200 Free, 1:45.32) and logged two other top three finishes (100 Free, 2nd, 48.06; 50 Free, 3rd, 22.08).
