NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT men's basketball team wraps up its quick two-game homestand at the Wellness and Events Center on Thursday when it hosts Saint Elizabeth University in search of a third-straight home win.

NJIT Athletics Spectator Policy
It's the good news you've all been waiting for! Fans will be back in the stands cheering on the Highlanders this Winter!
NJIT's Department of Athletics welcomes back spectators to our Winter 2021-22 home events. Because the health and safety of NJIT's athletes, coaches & staff, opponents, fans and community is paramount; the Department of Athletics is requiring that all spectators wear a mask at NJIT home indoor athletic events.
The spectator universal masking policy is required regardless of vaccination status. In addition to universal masking, we ask that unvaccinated spectators remain physically distanced whenever possible.
The Winter 2021-22 NJIT Spectator Policy is subject to change based on local, state, and federal/CDC guidelines, and NCAA and America East Conference recommendations.
Last Time Out
The NJIT men's basketball team raced out to a huge, first-half lead before making critical plays down the stretch to hold off visiting Sacred Heart in non-conference action on Tuesday evening at the Wellness and Events Center.
Miles Coleman and Dylan O'Hearn combined for 44 points to help the Highlanders win the contest, which featured many large runs. NJIT led 19-2 and 31-7 in the first half, but the Pioneers rallied all the way back to tie the game at 70 in the closing minutes.
The Highlanders scored the final five points of the game to seal the win and even their record at 3-3.
All-Time Series
Thursday's meeting is the first all-time between NJIT and St. Elizabeth.
NJIT vs. the NECSince moving to Division I, NJIT is 30-0 all-time vs. Non-D1 opponents, including 23-0 vs. Division III squads. The last time the Highlanders took on a D3 opponent was 12/22/2019 when they defeated Kean 74-46. Souleymane Diakite scored 13 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds in that game.

America East Conference
NJIT will begin its second season in the America East and will play a schedule of 18 conference games against the other nine schools. The Highlanders became the 10th full member of the America East on July 1, 2020.
The Highlanders were predicted to finish eighth out of the 10 league teams in the preseason coaches poll.
