NEWARK, NJ—NJIT Athletics celebrated the achievements of approximately 50 student-athletes who earned their degrees in 2015-16 at the University's Annual Convocation Ceremony, held Tuesday morning at the Prudential Center.
NJIT awarded nearly 2,900 baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral degrees at the 100th Commencement exercises.
Commencement Address: Leonard Kleinrock, Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at UCLA who laid out the mathematical theory of packet networks, the technology underpinning the Internet, delivered the 2016 Commencement address and received an honorary Doctor of Science.
Student Speaker: Raj Das of Old Bridge, NJ, a member of the NJIT men's track and field team, presented remarks on behalf of the student body and receive a B.S. in civil engineering.
