The Highlanders honored four seniors before their final home match of the 2025 season. Olivia Grall, Mariana Cova, Taylor West and Doga Emil

After dropping the opening two sets, NJIT regrouped behind a balanced offense and strong defensive effort. The Highlanders hit .175 as a team, while holding UAlbany to a .153 mark and out-digging the Great Danes, 77–75. NJIT flipped the momentum in the third set with sharper passing and aggressive serving. The Highlanders carried that energy through the fourth, forcing a decisive fifth frame.

Taylor West led the way for the Highlanders having a career day in her final match inside the Bloom Wellness and Events Center. West recorded 11 kills and 10 blocks which was her first career double-double and also a career single-game high in blocks.

Sophomore Ema Torres recorded 15 kills and finished with 15.5 points which both led the Highlanders.

With the victory, the Highlanders earned their first conference win of the season in dramatic fashion, completing their first reverse sweep of the year. This was also the first conference win since October 1, 2023 where the Highlanders also defeated UAlbany.
