Having completed its home schedule, NJIT will close the regular season slate with three Atlantic Sun Conference away games. First up is a Saturday 1 pm game in Florida at Jacksonville.

Every team qualifies for the Atlantic Sun Conference championship tournament, which begins on March 4 with the quarterfinal round at the campus sites of the top four seeded teams.

SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS
Jacksonville enters Tuesday's contest with a 16-10 overall mark, 8-3 record in the A-Sun, which is tied for second with USC Upstate and stands at 9-1 at home.  The Dolphins, winners of their last two, are coming off a 76-55 road victory at Lipscomb on February 15.

The Dolphins opened their season participating in theor first-ever trip to the Preseason Women's National Invitation Tournament on the road at No.19/20 South Florida .before concluding the tournament against Texas-Arlington.  In addition to South Florida and Texas-Arlington, Dartmouth and McNesse State were included in the consolation bracket.  The Dolphins picked up a 51-44 victory against Dartmouth, with a solid fourth quarter, outscoring the Big Green, 21-9.

Jacksonville head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin, is in her third season at the helm, after serving three seasons as an Assistant Coach at Clemson.  McPhee-McCuin also served as the Bahamian Women's National Team Coach.

Last season, McPhee-McCuin guided Jacksonville to its second consecutive A-Sun tournament appearance, advancing to the semifinals and concluded the season with a 12-17 overall mark, 6-8 in the conference.

Before the start of the 2015-16 season, McPhee-McCuin guided the Bahamian Women's National Team to its first-ever Centro Basket Championship title game.  Bahamas defeated Jamaica 55-51 in the Caribbean Basketball Confederation's gold medal game.

Jacksonville featured three players on the Atlantic Sun Conference preseason team – Briona Brown, Kayla Gordon and Sherranda Reddick.  The Dolphins were selected to finish third in the league.

In the first meeting, of the season in Newark, Jacksonville defeated NJIT, 65-36.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
Visiting Stetson built a 16-4 lead over NJIT after one quarter in Atlantic Sun Conference women's basketball and the Hatters, who led from start to finish, never allowed their lead to get under seven in the second quarter or under 12 in the second half on the way to a 74-56 victory.

NJIT is 1-10 in its first season as a member of the A-Sun and 4-22 overall.

Junior point guard Alana Dudley has dished out 38 assists in the last 10 games and leads the team with 84.  The 84 assists in a single season ranks fourth all-time in the NJIT Division I era.  Dudley has at least one assist in 25 games played this season.

Redshirt freshman Kelly Guarino is averaging 8.4 points per game and paces the Highlanders with 59 three-point baskets made.  Guarino has at least one three-pointer in 22 of the Highlanders 25 games this season.
