ATLANTA–The NJIT women's basketball team earned a Special Mention by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for the team's academic excellence for the 2025-26 academic year, the organization announced.

NJIT boosted a 3.537 cumulative grade point average and ranked just outside the Top 25, but received one of the WBCA's Special Mentions.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
