Women's Basketball Gameday Information vs. Brown
NJIT will open the New Year hosting another Ivy League opponent, Brown, which is set to visit the Fleisher Athletic Center on Monday, January 4 for a 2 pm game.

ALL-TIME SERIESBrown leads the all-time series, 3-2. NJIT is 5-17 all-time against Ivy League opponents, including a 46-39 decision to Dartmouth on December 31. NJIT will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule at Columbia on January 11. Brown won the last contest between the two schools last year, 67-39, in Providence, Rhode Island.
SCOUTING THE BEARSBrown enters the game with a 10-2 overall mark, having dropped its last contest at Saint Peter's, 79-67, on December 30. The loss snapped a five-game win streak in the month of December.
The Bears began the season 5-0 for the first time in school history before falling at Manhattan. In 2004-05, the Bears notched a 6-1 start.
Brown was selected to finish seventh in the 2015-16 Ivy League Women's Basketball Preseason Media Poll. The Bears return four of five starters and seven of its top eight scorers from 2014-15 when the Bears led the conference in steals per game (10.1) and ranked second in points per game (65.5).
NJIT and Brown have two opponents in common – Vermont and Binghamton with the Bears defeating both teams – Vermont (71-54) and Binghamton (67-65) while NJIT dropped a four-point decision at Binghamton (54-50) in the season opener and came up short against Vermont (54-46).
HEAD COACH SARAH BEHNSarah Behn enters her second season as the head coach at Brown University in 2015-16, having taken over the reins of the program as the ninth head coach in team history on May 21, 2014.
In her first season at Brown, Behn guided the Bears to finish second in the Ivy League in scoring (65.5 points per game) and first in the conference in steals (10.1 per game). She coached a pair of All-Ivy players in
Sophie Bikofsky '15 and
Jordin Alexander '16 with Bikofsky concluding her career as Brown's all-time leader in 3-point field goals made (222).
As a player, Behn starred at Boston College from 1989-93, totaling 2,523 points as the program's all-time leading scorer, while becoming the Eagles' only four-time Big East All-Star selection. The Big East Rookie of the Year selection in 1989-90, Behn was inducted into the BC Hall of Fame in 1998, and was the first BC female student-athlete to have her uniform number retired in 2003.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERSThe Highlanders (3-10) looks to snap a five-game skid to open the 2016 calendar year.
NJIT is coming off a low-scoring wire-to-wire 46-39 non-conference women's basketball loss Thursday against Dartmouth, who built a 21-6 lead after one quarter and made the advantage hold up.
Alana Dudley finished as the only NJIT player in double-figure points, netting 10 in the game, 5 in the fourth quarter.
Leah Horton, who added 9 points, notched a season-high and game-best 15 rebounds, one shy of the career-high 16 boards she grabbed last February against Delaware State. With Horton leading the way. NJIT outrebounded Dartmouth, 37-28.
