Prior to NJIT: The 5-foot-10 guard attended Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA, through her junior year season and capped off her high school career at Thomas A. Edison High School, in Alexandria, Virginia. ...Torres was recognized on the all-Rookie team in 2011-12 chosen by the Mount Vernon (VA) Patch and as a junior was selected to the all-Region first-team. ...In her senior season at Thomas A. Edison School, Torres guided the Eagles to the 2013-14 State Tournament and finished the season with a 25-4 mark.  Torres was selected to the Virginia High School Coaches Association 5A all-state girls first-team, Class 5A all-State and North region teams.  She also earned a spot on the all-star team on the US Junior National u16 team.
