Four Highlanders Named to 2025–26 CSC Academic All-District Team

2025-26 CSC All-District Team

​NEWARK, NJ – Alejandra Zuniga, Olivia Kulyk, Allison Cannon, and Madilyn Dogs of the NJIT women's basketball team have been named to the 2025–26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes student-athletes for excellence both on the court and in the classroom. Honorees must be key contributors to their team's success while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Alejandra Zuniga
A senior from Madrid, Spain, Zuniga capped her remarkable career as NJIT's all-time leading scorer with 1,741 points. A four-time All-America East selection, she was also named a finalist for the 2026 Lilly Women's College All-Star Game.

Zuniga averaged 17.8 points per game, 3.9 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game this season. She ranks second in the Division I era with 338 assists and set a single-game program record with 39 points at UMBC on January 1.

A three-time CSC Academic All-District selection, Zuniga will graduate in May with a degree in Communications and Media. She has also been selected to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with national honorees to be announced on April 15, 2026.

Olivia Kulyk
Kulyk, a sophomore from Edinboro, PA, earned All-America East Second Team honors after leading the conference with 76 three-pointers (2.5 per game).

She scored in double figures in 23 games this season, including a career-high 30 points against Lafayette on November 30, 2025. Kulyk averaged 14.6 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game while leading the Highlanders with 38 blocks.

She is majoring in Biology at NJIT.  She has also been selected to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with national honorees to be announced on April 15, 2026.

Allison Cannon
A sophomore from Holmdel, NJ, Cannon made history by recording the first triple-double of NJIT's Division I era (14 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds vs. Lafayette on November 30, 2025), the third in program history.

Cannon averaged 9.1 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game this season while shooting 56.6 percent from the field. She reached double figures in 15 games, including a career-best 17 points against New Hampshire on February 12, 2026.

She is majoring in Biology at NJIT.

Madilyn Dogs
A junior from Kewaskum, WI, Dogs appeared in 31 games, making 16 starts for the Highlanders. She averaged 3.2 points points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game.

She is majoring in Business at NJIT.

Historic Season for the Highlanders
NJIT completed one of the most successful seasons in program history, highlighted by several milestones:

  • Advanced to the second round of the WNIT for the first time

  • Earned the program's first-ever postseason victory with a win at Merrimack (March 19)

  • Made its first Division I postseason appearance and second overall (2004–05 ECAC Tournament)

  • Set a program record with 19 total wins

  • Recorded a program-best 10 road victories

  • Matched a program record with nine America East Conference wins and added nine non-conference victories (most in Division I era)

  • Entered the America East Championship as the No. 5 seed 

Additional highlights:

  • Zuniga became NJIT's all-time leading scorer at Bryant (January 17)

  • Program-record crowd of 2,326 vs. UMass Lowell (Education Day)

  • Zuniga's 39-point performance at UMBC set a single-season high

  • Cannon recorded NJIT's first Division I-era triple-double

  • Win over Saint Peter's (Nov. 19, 2025) marked the largest margin of victory since 2012 and helped secure the best start in program history (5–1)
