NEWARK, N.J. - The NJIT women's soccer team (2-2-1) begins a four-game homestand against Wagner (1-0-3) on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium. The game will be streamed live on America East TV, with Adam Dobrowolski on the call. Thursday's game is Faculty Appreciation Day.
 
LAST TIME OUT
NJIT played to a scoreless draw against Rider on Aug. 31, holding the Broncs to just three shots.
 
CARTHY IN GOAL
Freshman goalkeeper Enya Carthy earned the America East Rookie of the Week on Sept. 2 after allowing zero goals on 14 shots faced against Lehigh and Rider. Carthy ranks third in the America East with a 1.00 goals against average and a .824 save percentage.
 
ANDREOLI BREAKS NJIT DIVISION I POINTS RECORD
With her goal against Marist on Aug. 24, Briana Andreoli broke the Division I program record with 34 points (13 goals, 8 assists). She earned the America East Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 25 after recording four points (1 goal, 2 assists). The senior ranks third in the America East with four points this season.
 
Andreoli was selected to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team for the second consecutive season. Andreoli ranked second on the team with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists) last season while playing all 17 games.
 
The senior ranks second in Division I program history with 13 career goals.
 
SCOUTING WAGNER
Wagner enters the contest with a 1-0-3 record, most recently playing to a scoreless draw against Iona on Aug. 31.
 
Izzy Gomez leads the Seahawks with three points (1 goal, 1 assist) this season, while goalkeeper Shae McGinty has a 0.50 goals against average and a .889 save percentage in four appearances.
 
Wagner leads the all-time series, 8-5-1, including a 3-2 victory in Staten Island last season. Andreoli and Maria Nogueira each scored a goal in that match.

NJIT will continue its homestand by hosting Seton Hall on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium.
