3/19/2025 10:00:00 PM

Box Score Little Falls, N.J. – Early offense led the way for NJIT as it jumped out to an early advantage in a 4-1 win over Saint Peter's on Wednesday night at Yogi Berra Stadium. The Highlanders pushed two runs across in the bottom of the first and added runs in the second and third to stake their lead.

How it Happened
Within two batters in the bottom half of the first inning, NJIT had already gotten itself out ahead to a lead. Cole Campbell led off the frame with a ground ball single to left field and would come all the way around to score on a double down the left field line from Austin Francis. Two batters later, Francis would cross home himself on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Michael Doyle.

In the second, the Highlanders would plate their third run of the ballgame. Jaden Cabellero would single to start the inning and come home to score later in the frame on an RBI groundout from Nick Vega. In the third, NJIT would tack on another as Jack Stead kept his hot streak going with an RBI double up the alley in left center.

Colin Kidd got the start on the mound for the Highlanders, working the first four innings and striking out four. Talon Mihalinac got the win by working 1.2 innings out of the bullpen to improve to 2-2 on the season. Anthony Anzaldi worked the final three innings to earn his third save of the season.
