NEWARK, N.J. – On Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 the NJIT Department of Athletics dedicated the Highlander Baseball Locker Room as The Donnelly Family Locker Room. The naming is in recognition of the generosity and support of the Donnelly Family, who established The Donnelly Fund which to date has raised over $250,000 in cash and commitments to the baseball program.
"I think it is fitting that we start the day walking into the Donnelly Family Locker room everyday because the Donnelly's represent high character, morality, and a great family culture," head coach
Robbie McClellan said. "All of those things are core values of our program."
Through the Donnelly Fund, the baseball program has purchased Trackman and Pitch Com, both of which have already proven to provide Highlanders with a competitive edge.
"The Donnelly Fund, which was established by the generosity of the Donnelly family, is unique in its design and purpose," said Vice President and Director of Athletics
Lenny Kaplan. "The purpose of the fund it to address immediate needs of the program which directly impact the development and advancement of the players."
