NEWARK, NJ – The NJIT men's basketball team opens the 2025-26 season on the road against Fordham at 7:00 p.m. inside Rose Hill Gymnasium. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
 
2024-25 Season Recap
	- The Highlanders finished the season with a 6-25 record including a 3-13 record in America East play.
 
	- The Highlanders ended the season on a high note with a road victory against Binghamton, 75-72.
 
	- Ari Fulton was named to the America East All-Freshman Team by averaging 6.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting .416 from the field.
 
	- Sebastian Robinson finished the season third on the team in points per game (12.0) and led the team in assists per game (3.4).
 
 
NJIT vs. Fordham: All-Time Series
	- Highlanders lead all-time series 2-1.
 
	- Last matchup between the Highlanders and the Rams was back on 12/6/23 when the Highlanders secured the win in the Bronx, 80-77.
 
Quick Notes:
	- Grant Billmeier enters his third season at the helm.
 
	- Ty Goode joins the coaching staff as an assistant coach after spending the previous three seasons on the staff at Fordham University as Recruiting/Video Coordinator (2024-25) and Assistant Recruiting Coordinator (2022-24).
 
	- The Highlanders return nine players from last season, one of the highest marks in the conference.
 
	- The Highlanders boasts a younger roster with 11 of its 15 members being either freshman or sophomores. The team also has three juniors and a graduate student.
 
	- Newcomers to Newark include Melvyn Ebonkoli, Jeremy Clayville, Rocco Awad, Zack Scherler, AJ Altobelli and David Bolden.
 
	- The Highlanders non-conference slate is filled with tough opponents including the AP Preseason No. 11 Louisville.
