WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — The first multi-meet week of the outdoor season for the NJIT track and field squads kicked off on Friday as the Highlanders began their time at the Monmouth University Spring Opener.

The Highlander throwers were up first at the Monmouth meet, with participants in the both Discus and Hammer events

WOMEN'S DISCUS

MEN'S HAMMER

• Jaden Dixon: 48.34m / 158-7.00 (10th)
• Andrew Sabeh: 34.43m / 112-11.00 (21st)

WOMEN'S HAMMER

• Sinit Mehari: 30.75m / 100-10.00 (21st)

The rest of the Highlander teams will take part in the second day of the Monmouth meet and Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational.
