NEWARK, NJ– The NJIT men's basketball team hits the road for the seventh time this season when makes tthe short trip to Bergen County to take on FDU.

Tip-off is slated for 2pm inside the Rothman Center on the campus of FDU. The game will be streamed on NEC Front Row..

Last Time Out: Army West Point 63, NJIT 62 | Wed. 12/7 in West Point, NY
The NJIT men's basketball team battled back from an early double-digit deficit to take a second half lead, but ultimately fell 63-62 to host Army West Point on Wednesday evening at Christl Arena. 

NJIT vs...FDU
Wednesday's game is the seventh all-time between the Highlanders and Kights, with the Highlanders taking all six of the previous meetings. The team's most recently met last year when NJIT defeated FDU 62-54 in Newark behind a 17-point, 10 rebound performance from Miles Coleman

NJIT vs. the NEC
NJIT 23-15 all time vs. opponents from the Northeast Conference. The Highlanders split their first two games of the season against NEC foes, defeating Sacred Heart and falling to Wagner. 

Highlander Highlights
*    Sunday's game is the 10th of the 2022-23 season -- which marks NJIT's 17th participating in Division I, third as a member of the America East and sixth in the Wellness & Events Center (WEC).
*    Miles Coleman poured in a career-high 33 points in NJIT's win at Sacred Heart. It was Coleman's third-straight game with 23 or more points and the 10th time in 43 career games he has scored at least 20.
*    The 85 points at Sacred Heart were the most by an NJIT team in regulation since it scored 90 vs. Wagner on Nov. 16, 2019. The Highlanders scored 90 last season in a 2OT W at Lafayette.
*    Adam Hess has started the last three games and nailed three three-pointers in each game. The sharpshooter is averaging 10.0 ppg over his last four. 
*    Souleymane Diakite played in his 100th career game at Army West Point. He and and Kjell de Graaf are both in their fifth seasons with the Highlanders.Da'mir Faison is the next most-tenured Highlander as he is in his fourth season with the program.  Diakite's next game will be the 100th of his career.
*    NJIT returns seven players from its 2021-22 squad and welcomed seven newcomers to this year's team. The Highlanders brought in four graduate transfers and three freshmen.
*    Six of NJIT's 14 players have completed their undergraduate degrees and are working towards their Master's. Souleymane Diakite and Kjell de Graaf graduated from NJIT last May, while Justin Anderson (Bloomsburg), Adam Hess (E. New Mexico St.), Kevin Osawe (Arkansas-Little Rock), and Raheim Sullivan (Marist) come to NJIT from other institutions.
*    No Highlander has started all nine games this season, Diakite and Sullivan have each started eight.

The Highlanders will have the week off for final exams before returning to action next Sunday when they host Niagara at 2pm in the Wellness and Events Center.
