STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- The NJIT men's and women's track and field teams took part in the 2020 edition of the NYC Gotham Cup this weekend at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Both squads produced four top 10 performances, with Jacob Leigh and Miku Okada - two of this week's ASUN Track and Field weekly award winners - leading the Highlander groups for the second consecutive week.

Leigh finished top-five in the 400 meters with a fourth place sprint of 49.72 and helped his 4x400 relay group (Matt Bacchi, Zachery Hall, Ryan Budhu) to a sixth place finish (3:27.63).

Okada produced a similar effort, going top seven in two events: the High Jump (6th - 1.55m/5-1.00) and the 4x400 Relay (Sydne Nance/Caitlin Hambor/Kristina Boafo; 7th - 4:16.49).
