BOSTON, MA– The NJIT track and field teams head to Boston this weekend for the 2026 America East Indoor Championships, set for February 22–23 at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center. Events begin at 10 a.m. both days, with live coverage on ESPN+.

On the track, Maddie Stevens (56.86) and Lucia Julvez (57.60) rank among the conference's top 400m runners. Jason Alvarez's 48.61 sits sixth in the men's 400m, and he also ranks third in the 60m hurdles. Kayla Kelsick is fourth in the hurdles (8.72).

Hayley Lucido leads the America East in the 500m (1:14.53) and ranks top four in the 800m (2:12.90). Jessie Fotheringham has excelled across distances, ranking top three in the 1000m (2:50.56), second in the mile (4:51.72), third in the 3000m (9:36.92), and fifth in the 5000m (16:34.31). Sarah Van Ornum adds top-10 marks in the mile and 3000m.

On the men's distance side, Lasses Bjorn Jensen ranks top five in the 3000m (8:14.37), while William Mitchell is top-10 in the 5000m (14:36.42).

NJIT's men's 4x400m relay of Eatoniel Brown, Cassian Holland-Moritz, Moustafa Abdelaal, and Jayden Smith enters the meet ranked top five in the conference, joined by the women's quartet of Julvez, Kiersten Ashby, Lucido, and Stevens.

In the field events, Zaidiah Lightener paces the conference in both the long jump (6.02m) and triple jump (12.01m). Maria Owens ranks third in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump, with Raegan Bossard fourth in the triple jump. 

Isabella Patruno (1.63m) holds a top-10 high jump mark, Caleb Duvelson ranks top-10 in the shot put (15.91m), and Ryan Nartey, Matin Mahmoud, and Ralu Anosike all sit among the conference's top triple jumpers.

With standout marks across the board, the Highlanders enter championship weekend ready to contend.
