NEWARK, NJ – Freshman Lasse Bjørn Jensen captured the men's mile title Saturday at the Widener Invitational, hosted at The Ott Center in Philadelphia.
Bjorn Jensen crossed the line in 4:10.97 to claim first place, while classmate Diego Reyes finished sixth in 4:17.25.
On the women's side, sophomore Sarah Van Ornum placed second in the mile with a time of 4:56.37.
Daniel Wilson added a runner-up finish in the men's 800 meters, clocking in at 1:53.69.
In field events, sophomore Osei Akuamoah-Boateng placed eighth in the men's triple jump with a leap of 14.19m (46-6.75), followed closely by Ralu Anosike in 10th at 14.12m (46-4).
