NEWARK, NJ--After a pair of games in Colorado, the NJIT women's basketball team will return home and welcome defending Ivy League Champions Penn on Wednesday at NJIT's Wellness and Events Center. Tip-off is slated for 7pm.

All-Time Series
The Highlanders and Quakers will meet for the third straight year. Penn leads the all-time series, 4-2.
Scouting NJIT
The youthful Highlanders will return to Newark in search for the programs first win of the 2019 season under second-year head coach Mike Lane.
NJIT is led by two double-figure scorers junior guard Ellyn Stoll (12.3ppg) and freshman guard Kenna Squier (10.0ppg). Senior forward Danielle Tunstall tops the team on the boards in double-digits (11.3rpg), including a career-best 15 rebounds at Air Force.
Scouting the Quakers
The Quakers, who are coming off an Ivy League regular season championship last season, registered its sixth-straight 20+ win season and seventh-straight postseason appearance.
Penn tied the program record with 24 wins last season, with only seven losses, and went 12-2 in the Ivy League regular season to earn a share of the conference title.
The Quakers advanced to the second round of the WNIT and picked up three All-Ivy selections, including the Defensive Player of the Year in Eleah Parker.
Penn opened the season with a 57-point first-half outburst rolling to a 92-44 victory over Siena in the home opener. Eleah Parker led the way with 21 points as one of four Quakers in double figures. Sophomore Mia Lakstigala poured in a career-high 18 points in just 12 minutes.

Parker enters her junior season as one of the premier post players in not only the Ivy League, but in the entire country. This summer, Parker traveled to Colorado Springs, Colo. as one of just 36 collegiate players invited to the U.S. Pan American Games Women's Basketball Team Trials. As a sophomore, she was a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection, the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year and the Big 5 Player of the Year after bombarding opponents for 15.1 ppg, 9.0 rpg and 3.1 blocks per game during Penn's Ivy League championship campaign.
