NEWARK, NJ—NJIT will open the month of December, hosting Vermont on December 2 in the Wellness and Events Center (WEC) on Alumnae Day. Tip-off is slated for 1pm.
NJIT, which picked up its first win of the 2018 season on November 24 against Western Carolina in a 79-71 victory, have dropped its last two games, most recently, 67-46, at Rider.

Vermont leads the all-time series, 2-0. The two teams last met in 2016-17 at the TD Bank Classic hosted by Vermont over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

A Look at the Highlanders
The Highlanders are led by graduate student
Kelly Guarino's 13.6ppg followed by
Danielle Tunstall (11.3) and
Ellyn Stoll (10.5).
Guarino ranks sixth in the nation in three-point field goals made (25) and T-13
th in free throw percentage (95.2). Both marks rank first in the ASUN.
The guard from Thiells, NY, is NJIT's Division I all-time leader with 205 three-pointers made and is 17 shy of the all-time record.
Tunstall, the Highlanders 5-foot-11 forward, sits atop the Highlanders with 7.3rpg, which ranks fifth in the ASUN.
Stoll, who is averaging 34.2 minutes per game, ranks second on the team in assists (18) and steals (8). Stoll has dished out at least one assist in seven of NJIT's eight games, including season-best four assists at Howard and against Southeast Missouri.
Scouting the Catamounts
Vermont enters Sunday's contest with a 3-4 overall mark, most recently dropping a 65-40 decision against Holy Cross. Hanna Crymble paced Vermont with 15 points and five rebounds.
For the season, Crymble leads the Catamounts in scoring (16.7), free throw percentage (34-39) while ranking second in rebounds (5.7) and steals (8). The 6-foot-3 junior has scored in double-figures in six out of seven games this season, including a 30-point performance against Rhode Island.
America East Preseason Coaches' Poll
Vermont was selected sixth in the 2018-19 America East Preseason Coach's Poll. The Catamounts co-captain Crymble was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team. A second team all-Conference honoree a year ago, Crymble led the Catamounts in scoring (16.9) and rebounding (5.6).

NJIT will break for a week and return to action on December 9, visiting LIU Brooklyn. Tip-off is slated for 2pm. NJIT leads the all-time series, 3-2.
