NEWARK, NJ—Forecasts for heavy rain throughout Saturday, May 13, has washed out Saturday's ASUN Conference game between NJIT and Kennesaw State at Riverfront Stadium in downtown Newark.

The single nine-inning contest will be played on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 14 at Riverfront Stadium.  First pitch is scheduled for 12pm.

NJIT split Friday's doubleheader contest with the visiting Owls, picking up the first conference win of 2017 in the nightcap, 5-2, behind strong pitching performances from Andres Fernandez and Bryan Haberstroh, who held the Owls scoreless over the final four innings.
