LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—The time of the women's soccer match between NJIT and Rider, scheduled for Thursday, September 8, has been moved to 7pm due to the heat.
NJIT, off to a program-best 4-0-2 start, is one of 28 NCAA Division I teams, remaining with an undefeated record.
The 17 goals scored through six games, is tied for 12
th in the nation while shots on goal per game (11.83) ranks the Highlanders in the top 4.
Rider and NJIT have met seven times since the series began in 2009 with the Broncs holding a 5-2 advantage. The last time NJIT came to Lawrenceville, Rider won 2-1 in overtime.  The last time NJIT defeated Rider was 2013 (2-0).
NJIT remains at the top of the Atlantic Sun Conference standings ahead of Kennesaw State and Lipscomb, which stand at 4-1-1.  With a win or draw for the Highlanders at Rider Thursday evening, it will be the longest unbeaten streak to start a season for an ASUN team since 1999 when Samford opened the season 9-0-1.
