NEWARK, NJ—NJIT will hit the road and visit Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia Tuesday evening with opening tip slated for 7pm at Hagan Arena.
With a win, NJIT will pick up its third road victory of the season and second straight win. The Highlanders opened the 2016 season with two home victories against Wagner and St. Joseph's Brooklyn.
The Highlanders are coming off a 57-43 win at Delaware State on Sunday afternoon while Saint Joseph's dropped a 73-71decision in overtime at Central Michigan on Friday night.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The Highlanders are 0-1 all-time against Saint Joseph's with the Hawks defeating NJIT, 68-59, on December 28, 2007. The two schools met at the opening round of the 2007 Hilton Philadelphia Hawk Classic.
NJIT is 1-10 all-time against Atlantic 10 foes, with its lone win against Rhode Island on December 30, 2012. NJIT has also played Fordham, Davidson and UMass.

Presley Hudson hit a driving layup at the overtime buzzer to lift the the home team past the Saint Joseph's, 73-71, Friday evening at McGuirk Arena.
The Hawks, ahead by 12 with just under four minutes to play, saw their lead erased as Central Michigan's Hudson knocked down a three-pointer with 2.0 seconds to tie the game at 63.
In the final seconds of overtime, Presley hit a floater off glass as the buzzer sounded to give Central Michigan a 73-71 victory.
Saint Joseph's got a career-high 20 points from sophomore
Alyssa Monaghan, while junior
Adashia Franklyn matched her career-high with 18 points.
The Hawks will be looking to snap a two-game skid on Tuesday after losses against Villanova and most recently Central Michigan. In fact, the Hawks have dropped three of their last four contests.
Saint Joseph's is led by junior guard
Chelsea Woods, a Preseason Atlantic 10 Preseason third-team selection, averaging 14.0 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 25 assists and 14 steals.
Junior forward
Adashia Franklyn ranks second in scoring (12.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg) while leading the team with 11 total blocks.
Alyssa Monaghan, the Hawks sophomore guard, rounds out the double-figure scoring with 10.4 ppg, leading the team with three-point field goals made (15).
Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
Saint Joseph's was picked to finish eighth out of 14 teams in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Woods was selected to the A10 Preseason All-Conference third team after, averaging 9.6 ppg and 6.9 rpg in 2015-16.
A Look at NJIT
Redshirt sophomore
Kelly Guarino netted a game-high 16 points and senior point guard
Alana Dudley dished out a personal-best 10 assists in the Highlanders 57-43 victory at Delaware State Sunday afternoon at Memorial Hall.
NJIT, which snaps a three-game skid, picks up its fourth win of the season, matching its 2015-16 win total.
Dudley, named to the 2016 ASUN Preseason All-Conference team, dished out a career-best 10 assists, which ties the NJIT Division I single-game record with
Alyssa Albanese (Class of 2015). Dudley has recorded a least one assist through 10 games this season, pushing her career total to 211, which ranks fifth all-time.
Dudley paces the Highlanders in scoring (11.0 ppg) and assists (33) while senior forward
Leah Horton follows at 10.6 ppg and 5.8 rpg, which ranks second on the team.
Guarino sits in third averaging 8.1 ppg while leading the Highlanders in three-point field goals made (15).
Next Action
NJIT will return to Newark and host Howard on December 16 at 7pm, before breaking for finals and Christmas Holiday. Howard enters Friday's contest with a 2-6 overall record, most recently scoring a season-best 95 points against Mount St. Mary's (MD).
