RIVERDALE, NY—The NJIT women's track and field team, which was scheduled to compete at the CTC Championships at Wesleyan University was cancelled due to the blizzard but the Highlanders traveled to Manhattan College for a tri-meet against Saint Peter's and Manhattan.

The meet served as NJIT's final tune-up before next weekend Great West Conference Championships which will be held on February 23-24 at Houston Baptist University.

The Highlanders were led by Catherine Cohen who took first place in the women's mile with a time of 5:30.38.

NJIT had four second place finishes – Aya Elsekhely in the 800 meter run, Maryam Haque in the mile run, Kelsey Jackson in the women's high jump and Ewelina Marut in the mile run.

Newcomers Chelsea Chamra finished third in the 60 meter hurdles while Anna Jezewska also finished third in the women's 800 meter run.
