Dvorsky, Mitchell and Stevens Earn 2026 America East Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team Honors

NEWARK, NJ — NJIT student-athletes Anthony Dvorsky, William Mitchell and Maddie Stevens have been named to the 2026 America East Conference Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team, the league office announced Tuesday.

Dvorsky, a native of Newton, N.J., is an eight-time Dean's List honoree who graduated in May 2026 with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a 3.80 GPA. During the outdoor season, he earned a bronze medal in the 10,000-meter run at the America East Outdoor Championships, placed fifth in the 5,000 meters, and finished sixth in the 10,000 meters at the Penn Relays while setting a new NJIT school record. Dvorsky was also selected to the 2025 America East Cross Country All-Academic Team. He previously graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in May 2025, posting a 3.904 GPA.

Mitchell, from Howell, N.J., is a four-time Dean's List selection who graduated in May 2026 with a degree in Business and a 3.95 GPA. On the track, Mitchell placed sixth at the 2026 IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships and finished 17th in the 5,000 meters at the America East Outdoor Championships with a time of 15:17.99. He was previously named to the 2025 America East Cross Country All-Academic Team and the 2025-26 America East Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team.

Stevens, a native of Nashua, N.H., is a seven-time Dean's List honoree who graduated in May 2026 with a Master of Science degree in Biology of Health and maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. She previously graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a 3.846 GPA. Stevens helped the Highlanders place third in the 4x400-meter relay at the 118th Millrose Games and finished eighth in the 400 meters at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships to earn All-East honors. She was also selected to the 2025-26 America East Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for America East All-Academic Team recognition, student-athletes must possess at least sophomore athletic eligibility, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher, and be a significant contributor to their team. The team is selected by a committee of America East student-athlete support staff, athletic communications administrators, and faculty athletic representatives.
