BRONX, NY—The NJIT women's indoor track and field team competed at the Fordham Season Opener Friday held in the Lombardi Center Fieldhouse.

Senior Ewelina Marut finished third in the women's 3000 meter run with a time of 11:01.9 and followed up with a sixth-place finish in the women's 1000 meter run with a time of 3:15.2.

Junior Kelsey Jackson placed eighth in the women's 400 meter dask with a time of 1:01.4 while Alexandra Arnold placed 15^th.

Catherine Cohen took ninth in the women's mile run with a time of 5:33.4 while Esther Alfaro finished fifth in the women's 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.4.

In the women's shot put, freshman Taylor Everett placed 16^th with a distance of 8.95m.
