The NJIT Highlanders will host Texas-Pan American in Great West Conference action Saturday, February 20 at 2pm in the Fleisher Athletic Center … This will mark the second meeting of the season for both teams. …The Highlanders have won  four out of their last five contests.

NJIT raised its conference record to 4-1 and its overall mark to 9-11 with Thursday's 72-46 victory over visiting Houston Baptist.  The Highlanders' only conference loss came against Texas-Pan American on January 18, 62-54.

Junior Jessica Gerald leads the Highlanders on the season with 15.6 points per game.  Gerald passed a career milestone Thursday reaching 1,000 points and stands sixth on the NJIT career scoring list. She is the first Highlander to reach 1,000 points playing her entire career at the Division I level.

Forward Taiwo Oyelola is the other Highlander averaging double-figures with 10.1 points per game and leads the team on the boards, 6.2 rebounds per game.

Texas-Pan American (10-14, 6-2 GWC) is led by freshman Bianca Torre (12.4ppg). Great West Conference Player of the Week Aleeya Grigsby leads the team in rebounds (8.4rpg).  Grigsby posted two double-doubles last week in the Broncs victories.
