NEW YORK, N.Y. / BOSTON - The NJIT track and field teams will compete at the Fastrack National Opener at Ocean Breeze Complex on Friday and the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center. The Fastrack National Opener will start at 12:00 p.m. The ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

At the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships last season, NJIT recorded nine All-East performances, which is the most at an ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championship in program history.

Jason Alvarez,
Cassian Holland-Moritz,
Eatoniel Brown, and
Jayden Smith won the 4x400m relay at the Millrose Games with a time of 3:15.98, ranking fourth in the America East.
Lucia Julvez,
Kierstin Ashby,
Hayley Lucido, and
Maddie Stevens rank third in the conference in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:50.57 at the Millrose Games.

Stevens ranks fourth in the America East in the 400m with a season-best time of 57.47 at the Dr. Sander Scorcher Invitational.

Lucido leads the conference in the 500m with a personal-best time of 1:15.16 at the Wagner Invitational. She also ranks fifth in the America East in the 800m with a school record and personal-best time of 2:14.52.

Jessie Fotheringham ranks in the top 5 in the America East in three events, including the mile (1st / 4:51.72), 1,000m (3rd / 2:50.56), and 5,000m (5th / 16:34.31). All of these times are NJIT school records.

Alvarez broke the school record in the 60m hurdles with a personal-best time of 8.29 at the Youree Spence Garcia Invitational, ranking fifth in the conference.

Zaidah Lightener leads the America East in the long jump with a school record and college-best 6.02m at the Youree Spence Garcia Invitational.
Maria Owens also ranks fourth in the conference in the long jump (5.61m).

Raegan Bossard ranks second in the America East in the triple jump with a season-best 11.85m at the Youree Spence Garcia Invitational.

Three Highlanders rank in the top in the conference in the triple jump, including
Ryan Nartey (4th / 14.64m),
Matin Mahmoud (5th / 14.57m), and
Ralu Anosike (7th / 14.26m).
