LOWELL, Mass. - The NJIT women's soccer team (5-2-2) will open America East play against UMass Lowell on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Cushing Field.

The Highlanders extended their unbeaten streak to five games with a 1-1 draw against North Texas on Sept. 13.

NJIT RANKS NO. 118 IN NCAA RPI
NJIT currently ranks No. 118 in the NCAA Women's Soccer RPI, which is the second highest mark in the America East. The Highlanders were ranked No. 113 earlier in the week, which is the second highest in program history and the best since reaching No. 108 in 2018.
RAMOS ON A HOT STREAK
Kelsey Ramos earned the America East Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 15 after scoring in back-to-back matches against Lafayette and North Texas. She has now tallied a goal in three straight games and ranks fifth in the America East with three goals this season.
ANDREOLI SETS ANOTHER PROGRAM RECORD
With her goal against Seton Hall,
Briana Andreoli broke the Division I program record with 16 career goals. She is also tied with Erika Taugher, Cathy Wasko, and Erin Salgado for the most goals in overall program history. The senior currently holds the Division I program record with 41 career points.
Andreoli earned the America East Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Sept. 8 after recording seven points (3 goals, 1 assist) against Wagner and Seton Hall.
Andreoli currently ranks second in the America East in goals (4) and assists (3) this season, and third in points (11). The Hawthrone, New Jersey product was selected to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team for the second consecutive season. She ranked second on the team with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists) last season while playing all 17 games.
STRONG GOALKEEPER PLAY
Senior goalkeeper
Mojisola Ayodele recorded a career-high 12 saves against North Texas — her second straight game setting a personal best, after making seven saves against Lafayette. She only allowed one goal on 43 shots faced in her last two games.
Freshman goalkeeper
Enya Carthy earned the America East Rookie of the Week on Sept. 2 after allowing zero goals on 14 shots faced against Lehigh and Rider. She has not allowed a goal in her last four appearances and made a diving save on a penalty kick in the 22nd minute against Seton Hall to keep her scoreless streak alive.
SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL
UMass Lowell enters the match with a 3-3-2 record, most recently securing a 5-1 victory over New Haven on Sept. 14. Nora Belin was selected as the America East Rookie of the Week on Sept. 15 after totaling three goals, against Stonehill and New Haven.
Belin is tied with Gaby Eckroth with a team-high three goals this season. Goalkeeper Rachel Welch leads the America East with 5.50 saves per game.
UMass Lowell leads the all-time series, 6-1, including a 2-0 win in Newark last season.
