NEWARK, NJ – The NJIT men's tennis head coach Marco Matteucci has announced his team's schedule for the 2025 fall season. The Highlanders will participate in three Intercollegiate Tennis Association events, three team invitationals, one Big South event and a road match against Drexel University.

The Highlanders open their fall slate at the end of September with the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as competing in both the Hofstra Invitational and the Yale Invitational. Following opening weekend, the Highlanders will travel down to Philadelphia and compete in the Saint Joseph's Invitational.

At the end of October, the Highlanders will compete at another Intercollegiate Tennis Associate event and in the Big South Individual Championship. The first week of November will be another ITA event for the Highlanders and the team will also travel down to Philadelphia for a match against Drexel.

Last season NJIT was ranked fifth in the Northeast Region as a team, coming off a tremendous season with an 18-4 overall record and a second consecutive trip to the Southland Conference Championship Match.

As a team, NJIT completed its second consecutive perfect record at home, winning all 10 of its matches inside the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility. The Highlanders opened the season by winning eight straight matches, with the first seven wins each coming via 7-0 sweeps. The Highlanders landed inside the ITA weekly rankings twice during the season, peaking at No. 70 back on March 5. NJIT won six straight to wrap up its regular season and earned the No. 2 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament, where the Highlanders advanced to the championship for the second straight year.
