CSC All-District Release
NEWARK, NJ -- A pair of NJIT men's tennis student-athletes have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Sophomore duo of
Riccardo Campagnola and
Soma Fukuhara were recognized for their combined excellence in academics and athletics.
The CSC All-District Team honors student-athletes who are key contributors to their teams while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Campagnola was also named the Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year and named to the Big South All-Academic Team. Capagnola is a Financial Technology major and maintains an outstanding 3.921 GPA. On the court, the sophomore from Zane, Italy went 11-2 in singles competing at both the No. 3 and No. 4 positions.
Fukuhara on top of this honor, was also named to the First Team All-Big South Doubles Teams and the Second Team All-Big South Singles. On the court, the sophomore from Karatsu, Japan went 14-10 in singles competing primarily at the No. 2 position and started two matches this season at the No. 1 position. For doubles, Fukuhara went 19-4 competing at both the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.
