NEWARK, N.J. - The NJIT women's soccer team (4-2-1) will conclude its homestand this week against Lafayette (2-2-3) on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and North Texas (4-4) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium.
 
Both matches will be streamed on America East TV, with Adam Dobrowolski on the call for both games.
 
SENIOR DAY CELEBRATION
Prior to Saturday's contest, NJIT will honor ten seniors for Senior Day: Briana Andreoli, Mojisola Ayodele, Mikayla Balio, Riley Jones, Emily Jozak, student assistant coach Madison Miller, Maria Nogueira, Kelsey Ramos, Kara Thompson, and Kennedy Yon.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Highlanders extended their unbeaten streak to three games with a 3-1 victory over Seton Hall on Sept. 7. Lily Maccausland and Briana Andreoli each recorded three points, while Kelsey Ramos scored her first goal of the season.
 
ANDREOLI SETS ANOTHER PROGRAM RECORD
With her goal against Seton Hall, Andreoli broke the Division I program record with 16 career goals. She is also tied with Erika Taugher, Cathy Wasko, and Erin Salgado for the most goals in overall program history. The senior currently holds the Division I program record with 41 career points.
 
Andreoli earned the America East Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Sept. 8 after recording seven points (3 goals, 1 assist) against Wagner and Seton Hall.
 
Andreoli currently ranks second in the America East in goals (4) and assists (3) this season, and third in points (11). The Hawthrone, New Jersey product was selected to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team for the second consecutive season. She ranked second on the team with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists) last season while playing all 17 games.
 
CARTHY IN GOAL
Freshman goalkeeper Enya Carthy earned the America East Rookie of the Week on Sept. 2 after allowing zero goals on 14 shots faced against Lehigh and Rider. She has not allowed a goal in her last four appearances and made a diving save on a penalty kick in the 22nd minute against Seton Hall to keep her scoreless streak alive.
 
Carthy ranks second in the America East with a .850 save percentage and .750 goals against average.
 
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE
Lafayette enters the contest with a 2-2-3 record, most recently playing to a 2-2 draw against Penn on Sept. 7.
 
Katrina Santelli leads the Leopards with nine points (4 goals, 1 assist) this season. Goalkeeper Catherine Apker has made 24 saves in seven appearances.
 
Lafayette leads the all-time series, 8-0-3, including a 1-0 win in Easton last season.
 
SCOUTING NORTH TEXAS
North Texas has a 4-4 record, most recently falling to ULM, 1-0, on Sept. 7. The Mean Green will face Army on Sept. 11 before playing NJIT.
 
Mia Bernard leads North Texas with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists) this season. This will be the first-ever meeting between NJIT and North Texas.
 
NEXT UP
NJIT will open America East Conference play on the road against UMass Lowell on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3:00 p.m.
