NJIT Track and Field Earns All-East Honors in 14 Events at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. - The NJIT track and field teams earned All-East honors in 14 events at the ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships this weekend at George Mason Stadium. The Highlanders also recorded six personal-bests and ten top-five marks in program history.
 
The top eight finishers in each event earned medalist and All-East honors.
 
Ryan Nartey earned a bronze medal in the triple jump with a personal-best 14.48m, marking his second top-3 finish of the year at the IC4A Championships.
 
Anthony Dvorsky broke the 3,000m school record to earn a silver medal with a time of 8:36.79 while William Mitchell earned bronze with a 3K time of 8:43.12. Dvorsky also earned a medal in the 5,000m with a time of 14:56.18 to finish in eighth place.
 
Jason Ballen recorded a personal-best javelin throw of 61.00m to finish fourth, which is the second-best in program history. He earned an IC4A medal in the javelin for the second straight year. He also earned All-East honors in the discus with a season-best 46.76m to finish sixth.
 
Zaidah Lightener posted a long jump of 5.75m to finish seventh, earning an ECAC medal during the indoor and outdoor seasons in the long jump.
 
Andrew Sabeh finished eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.31m.
 
Andre Henry, Robbie Tormo, Jeusten Jourdain, and Pietro Carpentari finished fifth in the 4x100m relay with a time of 41.64, which is the second-best in school history.
 
Raegan Bossard finished seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 11.50m, earning an ECAC medal during the indoor and outdoor seasons in the triple jump.
 
Nadia Zhecheva, Jenna Keith, Julia Canonaco, and Hayley Lucido ran a 4x800m relay time of 9:15.13 to finish sixth.
 
Joseph Mucci, Fabian Herrera, Liam Dougherty, and Daniel Wilson finished in sixth place with a 4x800m relay time of 7:46.66.
 
Lucia Julvez, Kierstin Ashby, Nelagh Matthews, and Lucido recorded a 4x400m relay time of 4:05.99 to finish fourth.
 
Carpentari, Lossenie Fofana, Trotman Kertes, and Jourdain clocked a 4x400m relay time of 3:18.62 to finish seventh.
