Nine Track and Field Athletes Earned All-East Honors at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships

Nine medalists at IC4A/ECAC indoors is the most in program history

BOSTON, Mass. - The NJIT track and field teams earned All-East honors in nine events at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships this weekend at Boston University Track and Tennis Center. Nine medalists is the most at an IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships in program history.

The top eight finishers in each event earned medalist and All-East honors.
 
Ryan Nartey earned a silver medal with a personal-best mark of 14.47m in the men's triple jump.
 
Raegan Bossard earned a bronze medal in the triple jump with a school record mark of 11.93m.
 
Andrew Sabeh broke the school record with a personal-best weight throw of 17.13m to finish fourth.

Zaidah Lightener stamped a mark of 5.50m to finish fourth in the women's long jump.
 
Jeusten Jourdain delivered a 60m hurdles time of 8.56 to finish in sixth place.
 
For the women's 500m, Lucia Julvez ran a time of 1:17.26 to secure the fifth spot while Sanai Jenkins posted a time of 1:17.49, finishing in sixth place.
 
For the men's 4x400m relay, Pietro Carpentari, Lossenie Fofana, Robbie Tormo, and Gabriel Truehart posted a time of 3:16.88 to finish fourth, which is the third-best in school history.
 
The women's 4x400m relay team that includes Julvez, Jenkins, Nelagh Matthews, and Kierstin Ashby, delivered a time of 3:50.40 to finish fourth.

Ashby clocked a personal-best 400m time of 57.03, which puts her at third in program history.

NEXT UP
NJIT will have two weeks off before the outdoor season begins with the Raleigh Relays on March 27-29 and the Monmouth Season Opener on March 28-29.
