PRINCETON, NJ -- The NJIT men's tennis team concluded a solid performance at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships, highlighted by standout efforts from Maxime Hankins and Wil Jenkins in both singles and doubles play.
Maxime Hankins led the way for the Highlanders with an impressive run, winning two rounds in the qualifying draw to earn a spot in the main draw. Along the way, Hankins defeated a strong opponent from Columbia before toppling a Princeton opponent in the main draw. He finished the tournament with a 3-1 record, showcasing the competitive level NJIT continues to build toward.
In singles play, Wil Jenkins also picked up a win, finishing 1-1 in the main draw. In doubles, Jenkins teamed up with Soma Fukuhara, and the duo picked up a victory in the first round before falling in the second, going 1-1 overall.
