Fotheringham Earns All-East Honors to Highlight the ECAC/IC4A Championships

BRONX, N.Y. - Jessie Fotheringham earned All-East honors after placing seventh with a personal-best 6K time of 21:02.4 at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park.
 
Fotheringham recorded her third consecutive top-10 finish to start her collegiate career.
 
The Highlander women finished in 17th place, ahead of America East foe UAlbany, Siena, Manhattan, St. John's, LIU, FDU, and Saint Peter's. NJIT moved up three spots from 2024.
 
Sarah Van Ornum posted a 6K time of 22:36.0 to finish in 58th place, while Kimmie Harding finished 83rd with a time of 22:52.7.
 
The NJIT men finished in 13th place, beating America East rival UAlbany, Lafayette, Fairfield, LIU, Manhattan, Wagner, FDU, Quinnipiac, and Saint Peter's. The Highlanders moved up six spots from last season.
 
William Mitchell led the Highlanders with an 8K time of 25:20.4 to finish 41st. Lasse Bjørn Jensen followed with a time of 25:34.2, and Anthony Dvorsky was close behind at 25:36.8.
 
Next Up
After a week off, NJIT will travel to Contoocook, New Hampshire, for the America East Cross Country Championships, hosted by UMass Lowell, on Friday, Oct. 31.
