Track and Field Starts Final AEs Prep At Fastrack Invite

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In their final meets of preparation before the America East Indoor Championships, the NJIT men's and women's track and field teams began the week with another split weekend of events on Friday evening.

A select group kicked things off at the Fastrack National Invite at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island.

SCHOOL RECORDS

Sarah Van Ornum reset the Mile school record held by teammate Nadia Zhecheva by almost ten seconds, improving the standard from 5:13.01 in December to 5:04.16 on Friday.
