BROOKLYN, NY–The NJIT women's fencing team kicked off the 2024 season on Sunday at the LIU Invitational.
The Highlanders competed against Stevens, Wesleyan, Drew and host LIU.
Captain Elena Fernandez Negron and Stella Frias led the foil squad, combining for an 8-4 overall mark (66.67 winning percentage).
Megan Hillyer paced the epee squad with seven victories.
Freshman Zoey Wen led the saber squad in her first collegiate meet with an 8-4 overall record (66.67 winning percentage).
NJIT will return to action on November 3 at the Drew Invitational in Madison, NJ.
