VESTAL, N.Y. - The NJIT women's soccer team (3-9-1, 0-4 AE) is set to face Binghamton (5-5-2, 2-2-1 AE) on Thursday at 6:07 p.m. at Bearcats Sports Complex.
 
NJIT NEWS & NOTES
NJIT aims to bounce back after losing eight straight matches, most recently falling to UAlbany 3-1 on October 13. Before the losing streak, the Highlanders recorded four consecutive shutouts with wins against Mount St. Mary's, Saint Peter's, and Rider.
 
Briana Andreoli scored her 12th goal of her NJIT career in the 32nd minute against UAlbany, tying her for second all-time in the Division I era. She also tied for fourth all-time in points (29) with Kori Washington during that same period. The Hawthrone, New Jersey native was selected to the 2024 America East Conference Women's Soccer Preseason All-Conference team after leading the team with six goals and three assists for a team-high 15 points in 2023. She has three goals and two assists this season.
 
Kelsey Ramos scored her second goal of the season in the 64th minute against Vermont, assisted by Andreoli.
 
Kennedy Westbrook earned America East Rookie of the Week honors on September 23 after recording the first three points of her collegiate career, including one goal and one assist against Bryant. Sofia Mignon also scored her first collegiate goal in the 89th minute of that match.
 
Ciara Adams is second on the team with six points this season with two goals and two assists. She earned the America East Offensive Player of the Week on September 3 after scoring all six points against Saint Peter's and Rider.
 
Caroline Caputo also scored two goals this season, netting both against Saint Peter's for her first multi-goal game.
 
Maria Nogueira and Westbrook have each played all 90 minutes in 12 matches played this season. NJIT has blocked 40 shots, including ten against top-50 Rutgers.
 
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
Binghamton enters the contest with a 5-5-2 record, securing a 2-1 victory against Bryant on October 13.
 
Hannah Mimas leads the team with 17 points (six goals and five assists), ranking second in the America East. Anna Buckwalter and Jahkaya Davis are tied for second on the team with eight points each.
 
Binghamton leads the all-time series 6-0, winning the last matchup 2-0 on October 26, 2023.
