Stevens, Lindinger-Asamoah Shine As Track Closes Weekend At Villanova Invite

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NJIT track and field teams returned to Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for the second straight day to take part in Saturday's Villanova Invitational.

TOP HIGHLANDER PERFORMANCES

Maddie Stevens took over the top spot on the America East performance list after winning the 400 meters in a school record and personal best time of 55.13
Jordan Lindinger-Asamoah improved his second place America East mark in the Long Jump with a school record 15.39m / 50-6.00 leap that was good enough for second at the meet.
Nia Holloway nearly broke her own 60 meter record of 7.75, posting a time of 7.79 on Saturday.

NEXT UP
NJIT will have another multi-event weekend next weekend (January 26-27) in Boston as the Highlanders split their squads to compete in the UMass Lowell Invite and Boston University Terrier Classic.
