Dvorsky, Van Ornum Pace Track and Field At Gotham Cup

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NJIT track and field programs kicked off a two-meet weekend at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex by taking part in the NYC Gotham Cup Friday evening.

HIGHLANDER VICTORIES

Anthony Dvorsky produced the top performance of the day, winning the 5000 meters with a PR time of 14:57.43 and helping the 4x800 relay run 8:21.44 alongside Fabian Herrera, Matthew Morena and Joseph Mucci.
Sarah Van Ornum paced the women on Friday, taking second in the 5000 (school record of 17:58.84) and teaming up with Nadia Zhecheva, Julia Canonaco, and Kimmie Harding for a second place finish and school record in the 4x800 relay (9:45.82).
